Update

Hey ! It's been a long time since my last update - just goes to show how busy things have been over here. A lot has happened since my last post: I've been to Australia and back for a 2 week business trip, Max and I went with Wes, Yolanda and made some new friends on back packing trip near the Sierra-Nevada mountain range, we've been looking for a new apartment, I've celebrated my 10 months of smoke freedom, I'm moving into a new role in Product Management @ Amdocs, my sister Debarati is getting married. Well basically, a lot of things have been happening.

First things first though, I really do need to upload the pictures of the backpacking trip and tell our story of Labor day weekend...

What the hell are those "Technorati" hyperlinks anyway???

You may have noticed that the last few posts have started incorporating "Technorati Tags" at the bottom of every post... you may have clicked on some of these hyperlinks and they may have led you nowhere... (although those who clicked on the "Garlic" hyperlink of my Gilroy post may have seen some interesting results)...

So what the hell is technorati??? Technorati is basically a blog search engine, and currently tracks over 50 million blogs on the internet. Technorati is the recognized authority on what's going on in the world of     weblogs. According to Technorati, (and this is also a general opinion on Web 2.0 and Social Networking), "the power of weblogs is that they allow millions of people to easily publish     their ideas, and millions more to comment on them. Blogs are a fluid, dynamic     medium, more akin to a 'conversation' than to a library — which is how the     Web has often been described in the past". With an increasing number of people     reading, writing, and commenting on blogs, the way we use the Web is shifting     in a fundamental way. Instead of being passive consumers of information, more     and more Internet users are becoming active participants.

So if you click on "Garlic" on the Gilroy post... watch what happens. It'll tell you who posted on garlic recently... and the interesting thing is... most of the posts will probably related to the festival... :-)

So, say you're interested in something I've had to say... maybe if you click on the tag... you may find similar posts or posts on the same subject. That's the power of technorati. So if the links don't work, don't fret... they're only there for my own fun and curiousity.

So ... the 22nd came and went !!!! Max and I have now officially been married for 5 years !!!! And we've known each other for 10 !!!!! That's crazy huh?

We celebrated in true style, we rented a cabin down in Big Sur (central Californian coast, south of Carmel), went hiking, ate tons of cheese and wine (as well as went to a restaurant that served giant baked potatoes with a stunning view of the pacific).

It may be worth mentioning that the hike was super fun, but we had a few scares !!! I had Poison Oak Phobia, and kept seeing poison oak every where... fell through some drift wood, and Joost nearly slipped off the teeny weeny animal trail looking for the way home. Thank Heavens, Max saved the day, found the trail uphill back to the cabin ! More on this later... but I wanted to post the happiness of being together with the woman that I will always truly love...

It was truly a beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was in the middle of the woods, with a hammock, with the sound of the waterfall nearby, stacks of wine, food, some good friends (Joost ;-) ), and the owners of the cabin (Donna and Doug) were absolutely fantastic. I'll update this post later with their details... for 125$ /night, we could not find a better deal in Big Sur (thank you Craig's List !!!!).
