Grrr. I hate her. She was awesome. Which really sucks. Boohoo. I scored 109. She score 98 ! I'm not worthy. But what can you do when you have to compete against such skill ? (or luck). We played Shoreline Links Golf Course, which is Mountain View's golf course.
This course was constructed on reclaimed land in 1982-1983. The buffer zone of windswept
land is part
of Shoreline at Mountain View,
which also features a sailing lake, two restaurants,
bicycle and jogging trails and other open space
uses. It is very windy, which is why Max's score is so impressive (kudos to Ron, who scored 99).
One of the funny things about this course that went through my head as we were playing: here we are, playing golf, having fun, with the google campus in the backdrop. I never thought last year that I would find myself tee-ing up to the google HQ building, but here I am. Here we are. I guess it's one of those things that you have to get used to over here. You will meet people who work at Yahoo, Google, eBay, Skype, all these companies that we've heard of for so many years... the survivors of the dot com bust, the symbols of the internet renaissance and of web 2.0.
Yeah, it'll definitely take some getting used to. But for now, back to the practice range. I know I need it.
